Cycling Level of Service – Assessment
Cycling Level of Service (or CLoS for short) is an audit tool developed by Transport for London. It is designed to assess the quality of existing and proposed cycling provision.
Allocating a final score out of 100, the assessment sets a common standard for the performance of cycle infrastructure such as existing routes, new schemes and individual junctions.
The assessment audits 34 indicators of cycling service provision. The results are then used by local and regional authorities to inform discussion about design options and target areas in need of improvement.

Experienced at delivering both localised and areawide audits, our consultants undertake in-person site visits, walking or cycling the full length of the assessment area. Findings are presented in a simple tabulated format or through more traditional reporting methods – providing clear, concise and easy to understand information for a variety of audiences.
